Maitake (Grifola frondosa), grain spawn 1 litre

Maitake (Grifola frondosa). In nature, it is occasionally found in the root zone of oaks or chestnuts, more rarely also on lime trees or beeches.
In response to numerous customer requests, we are offering 1-liter-bags with grain spawn.
We recommend cultivation on wood, e.g. oak, copper beech, sweet chestnut. With 1 litre of spawn 5 to 6 logs of 30 35cm length and approx. 20cm diameter can be inoculated (cut inoculation method, 1 cut).However, little experience is available so far. Cultivation is therefore rather experimental.

Important. The logs you use must be healthy and the bark should not be damaged. After cutting from the living tree, the logs should be stored for 4 to max. 12 weeks before inoculation.
